In November, the Firefighters’ Rescue School in Vilnius, Lithuania, conducted specialized training on the Alfacharlie 03 rescue stretcher. The sessions were designed for students, instructors, and active rescue professionals seeking to improve their stretcher-handling skills in emergency situations.
During the training, the founder of Alfa Charlie delivered a detailed presentation on the proper use of the Alfacharlie 03 stretcher, demonstrating how the stretcher performs in various extreme rescue scenarios. Participants learned correct lifting techniques, immobilization procedures, and fast deployment methods—skills essential for effective stretcher-based evacuation.
A key highlight of the training was the first-ever attempt to immobilize a firefighter wearing full protective gear and an oxygen cylinder inside the rescue stretcher. The test was highly successful, proving that a firefighter can be safely evacuated with the oxygen tank attached. The stretcher allowed secure positioning both in a stable lateral posture and with the oxygen cylinder strapped to the firefighter’s chest using the built-in stretcher harness system.
Although the Alfacharlie 03 stretcher is a new rescue tool for firefighters in Lithuania, participants responded very positively. The Firefighters’ Rescue School plans to integrate this rescue stretcher into its official training program and use it during real-life emergency rescue operations, highlighting its reliability, safety, and versatility.
